The Parallel Project is back!

The Parallel Project (TPP) is a monologue writing workshop by and for *IBPOC emerging artists based on the traditional and unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. Created as a space for storytelling, mentorship, and artistic development, TPP supports the IBPOC artistic community by providing a platform to share, celebrate, and amplify diverse lived experiences.

The workshop has two primary goals: 1) to provide professional development opportunities for IBPOC playwrights within a dedicated and culturally supportive space, and 2) to curate a collection of monologues that creates greater opportunities and representation for IBPOC actors.

Following the recent publication of our first collection of monologues, we are preparing to launch a new collection that will continue to highlight and support emerging IBPOC playwrights and performers by bringing our workshop back.

TPP is produced by Momentum 180 in partnership with The Cultch and Playwrights Theatre Centre, with support from the City of Vancouver.
